Sharon Lacey, formerly a national award winning middle school teacher, has shot up the comic ranks since jumping onto the comedy stage. She’s now one of the most sought after comediennes in the country! She performs in clubs, colleges, casinos, and corporate conferences all across the U.S. and Canada, and has co-headlined two overseas tours entertaining our troops in Kuwait and Iraq.

You’ve seen her on the Disney Channel, ABC, Lifetime, and A&E. Sharon’s an alumnus of the San Francisco and Seattle Comedy Competitions, the Bay Area Black Comedy Competition, and a finalist in the A.M. Northwest Comedy Competition and the Shades of Laughs Urban Comedy Competition.

Taking you on a hysterical journey through the school halls, parenting, other jobs, and life on the road, Sharon Lacey is one teacher who ended up being the class clown herself!

PORTLAND, OR – Sunday marked the last day of the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, and though there were fewer shows to attend, I did see some solid comedy to end the weekend.

I popped around a lot on Sunday to check out some of the festival’s up-and-coming comics. Mostly I tried to see people whose names I had heard from other comics and attendees. One of my favorites was Sharon Lacey, who was different than any other comic I’d seen, not only because of her age, but with her focuses on parenting and her former life as a school teacher.
